ABOUT THE BACKYARD BRAINSTORM LAB

This concept ensembles a group of actors, directors, writers, and designers and gives them ONE WEEK to put together a completely original show from scratch. The catch is… they won’t know what we are making until the first UNTIL the first rehearsal. No brainstorming is allowed beforehand, and the first time the team is allowed to work on the project is the moment they first step into the theater. Exactly one week later… they will open the show!

The goal (which we have acheieved) is that as the audience, everything you will see on the stage was will have been fully conceptualized and put together in the span of only one week to the very minute. This includes every piece of dialogue, sets, costumes, sound effects, memorization of lines, and everything else that it takes to write a full show and fully bring it to life in a full production setting.

What you see here is theater reimagined. We have proven that if you have an amazing group of people, you can create a fully original show in only the span of a week. People spend years trying to accomplish what we have accomplished in only one week. That's what Fed’s Backyard Theater is all about; making the impossible possible.
